The Activities Coordinator assists in the creation and execution of all resort activities and group team building events as well as booking tours, dinner, spa, golf reservations, and area activities and events for our resort guests. In short our Activities department is responsible for enhancing the guest experience by maximizing participation in the cool things to do at the Tides.


1. Determine the guest's needs in order to suggest and/or book all activities both on and off property.
2. Make reservations for dinner, spa, golf, air travel etc.
3. Create itineraries for all events scheduled, ideally prior to arrival, so they are aware of cost, cancellation policy, date, time, etc..
4. Promptly respond to the pre-arrival letter.
5. Create, coordinate, and facilitate all indoor and outdoor activities for all ages of resort guests. 
6. Create and facilitate team building events.
7. Provide guests with directions to attractions both on and off property.
8. Coordinate guest requests for special services including flower arrangements, gift baskets, etc., and complete proper documents for special
requests to insure the correct department is notified and the billing information is complete.
9. Contact in house guests periodically to ascertain any special needs.
10.Promptly and efficiently follow through on all guest requests.
11.Answer all phone calls by using guest name.
12.Complete other projects as assigned by the Director of Rooms and Front Office Manager.
13.Complete all the above with a smile and in a truly helpful and sincere manner.


Minimum Requirements:
College degree in related field or equivalent experience. General background in recreation. High degree of computer literacy.  Ability to become CPR and Life Guard Certified. 

Physical Requirements:
20% Sitting
80% Walking & Standing
Lifting/Carrying 30 pounds
Hearing and Manual dexterity
Ability to be outdoors for prolonged periods of time throughout the year
Must be able to swim and become life guard certified
Computer screen reading 1-3 feet
